NAME
irixdiskqueue - check and set queue parameters for disks with SGI/Irix
       volume headers

SYNOPSIS
       /bin/irixdiskqueue [-s] [-d] [-e queue-depth] device

DESCRIPTION
irixdiskqueue may be used to enable queueing, disable queueing, or find
the current state of queueing on a disk drive with an SGI/Irix volume
       layout.

With no options, the current status of queueing on the drive is ver-
bosely displayed. If queueing is enabled, the queue depth is also dis-
       played.

-d Disable queueing on the disk.

       -e depth
Enable queueing on the disk to the specified queue depth between
              2 and 255.

-s Display only the queue depth setting stored in the SGI/Irix vol-
              ume header.

FILES
/dev/sd* - Linux SD device volume header
/etc/init.d/sgisetqdepth - script to program queue depth into kernel

SEE ALSO
       fdisk(8) parted(8)

NOTE
This command is normally usable only by the superuser, because the
standard permissions of the devices in /dev restrict access to other
       users.

                                                              irixdiskqueue(8)
